How to play
Drag your finger across touching letters to spell a word, in any direction, diagonals included. Let go to play it. The tiles clear, the letters above fall, and new ones drop in from the top. Longer words and rarer letters score more. The full tutorial is always in Settings, under How to Play.
What is free, and what does the unlock cover?
The Daily is free forever, with unlimited replays. One purchase unlocks the other four games: Rounds, Tempo, Find and Link. There are no ads and no subscription.
How do the free plays work?
You get three free plays of each of the four paid games. A play is used when you tap Play, not when you open a game, so looking around costs nothing. The plays do not expire.
I bought the unlock and it is not showing
The purchase lives on your Apple ID and normally restores itself every time the app opens. If it has not, make sure you are signed in to the App Store with the Apple ID you bought it with, then open Settings in the game (the gear on the home screen) and tap Restore purchase. Family Sharing does not apply to this purchase.
My Daily score did not reach the leaderboard
Only your first run each day is ranked. Replays are for practice and do not change your posted score. The leaderboard also needs Game Center: sign in under the Settings app → Game Center, then reopen the game.
Will my streak follow me to a new phone?
Yes, if you use iCloud. Your streak, daily history, best scores and free plays are mirrored to your own iCloud account and picked up on any device signed in to the same Apple ID. It can take a few minutes the first time.
Reminders
The daily reminder is optional. Turn it on or off in the game’s Settings under Daily reminder. It is deliberately quiet, it does not fire every day, and it never fires once you have played that day’s puzzle. If you turned it on and nothing arrives, check the Settings app → Notifications → Another Word Game.
The letters are too small
Settings in the game has a Letter size control that makes the tiles’ letters larger.
The board keeps suggesting words
That is Hints. After a few seconds without a move, the board suggests a word in Daily, Rounds and Tempo. You can switch it off in Settings.
A word I know was not accepted
The game uses a standard English word list and does not accept names or abbreviations. If a common word is missing, email it to me and I will look at it.
Do I need an account?
No. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no logins. Game Center is optional and only needed for leaderboards. See the privacy policy for the details.
